Best online dealer for OEM parts?
#3
Sewell is usually the cheapest if you order several parts at once, but if you just need one or two things their $15 minimum shipping charge can make them less competitive. When you only need one part you can often get the best deal entering the part number in ebay. You'd be surprised how many Lexus dealerships sell new OEM parts that way.

Park Place Lexus. 901 Hwy 114, Grapevine, TX 76051

I called them a while back and talked to Loyd, very knowledgeable and quoted prices seemed quite competitive.

I walked into my local Lexus Parts Department several years ago and negotiated the equivalent of online discount (25 - 30%) with the Parts Manager. I can order parts via an email to the Parts Manager, and the parts arrive next day at the dealership. I pay tax but no shipping charge. Sewell doesn't come close, unless the shipping is less cost than the local state tax on the order. I also order parts online via eBay as well if it's cheaper. I get the parts manager's discount even when the dealer does the service.

Ordering parts off ebay, for example, when I entered part number for a passenger side front turn signal lamp, I got OEM and aftermarket lamps. Prices are a lot different (cheaper for aftermarket), but are these made well? If you ordered aftermarket replacements, did you notice quality/fitment issues?

In the Honda/Acura world, OEM parts are a lot cheaper than the Lexus ones, so I was just able to order from a dealership online.

Thanks for the info on Seawell I have came across the best brightest Led TAIL LIGHT BULBS from DDM Tuning here in Huntington beach CA they just came out with the 1157 bulbs the my tail lights look like brake lights and my brake lights are insanely bright. I am wondering if I will get a ticket for them don't think so, the new Mercedes have super bright tail lights and now do I have them. I use their HID in my 1991 fogs and boy they light up the night and I put the double stack white leds in my upper white/silver side lights and they act as driving lights. You can put led lights in the opera lights and doors lights gives out a warm white light in the back seats.
