Unhappy Anti-theft / Ignition Problem, Please Help

I have a strange problem with my 95 LS. This problem has happened twice in 3 weeks : open doors with the remote, insert key into ignition, steering wheel adjusts as normal, but then the key will not turn at all into the accessories, on or start position. The only way I can start the engine is by repeated unlocking/locking the doors and inserting the key into the ignition.

Has the same thing happened to anyone else ? What could it be....faulty anti-theft system ? Transmission lock ? Or is it a bigger problem ?

Not a strange problem at all. That's your steering column lock feature. Most cars have it. It usually happens when you park your car and the wheels aren't facing straight ahead. Just crank the steering wheel one way while turning the key (the side that has some slack). You'll have to give it a little pressure to crank the wheel. This happens to me all the time and is no big deal.
