Default Double glazing

Anyone know if it's possible to do a conversion to double pane glass like they have on the old s classes, or if it's even worth it? Can the ls get much quieter?

I would guess that the LS430 UL double glass would be the closest.

Replacing the old dried weather seals around the door would be a consideration. If you want more, applying sound material on the panels. The 1-LS is pretty quiet and any double pane-thicker glass is going to be much more $$.

You would HAVE TO get it custom made I would assume or maybe getting some junk 430 UL glass cut to size assuming all the windows are bigger

i don't see how anyone can cut tempered glass! double pane = thicker glass so it will need to fit into the window channels and door seals, not easy!

these cars are plenty quiet but if you want more insulation, add more sound deadening to the sub floor, doors, and roof. i feel that will result in more sound suppression than the windows.

perhaps one of those JDM visors? idk if that helps w sound deadening, im getting quite a bit of wind noise just above my head, like where the wind is flowing up the windshield and onto/over the roof. also at high speeds my hood rattles a bit in the front and its audible, anyone else had this issue?

heres a video, check out 4:50

The hood stops are easily adjusted to dial out any wind induced movement. On each side and turning them so they take up any free space when closed. Doesn't take much but about 1/8-1/4 turn in most instances.

By "hood stops" do you mean the struts that hold the hood up?

They are black rubber threaded inserts on each side about the diameter of a nickel. Turn them so they take any slack, just enough so that the hood is firmly held when closed.

Tightened them all the way so now the hood sits a bit lower. Is that what you meant
