Just got my first Lexus, and my first Japanese car ever. It's a 1990 LS400 garage kept single owner (I'm second). 65k original miles clean tan interior.Super clean car with maintenance records of timing replaced @60k and new brakes in 05. Inspected every year rarely driven.
-ABS
-Power pack (w/m/l)
- 8way power driver and pass w/ driver lumbar
-Pioneer sound
-Cruise
I'm not sure off all the options they offered with these that were not standard, just listing a few.

The deer whistles are coming off...

I need engine bay pics everything is like new no dust clean wet look. I'd rate overall 8/10 it's really nice except for some cosmetics.

Just showing of my new car, I don't plan on doing anything to it as far as customizing just yet. Possible exhaust, intake, and tune setup in the future. Had it inspected was told get change the oil and trans fluid/ filter. Any recommendations there? Since its been maintained I figure that and the diff might not be a bad idea?

Any oil will do but check to see if your year requires the Toyota TIV transmission fluid before you put anything in there. I doubt you need a new tans filter but if you want to change it go ahead they are not that expensive. By the way those door seals look to be in perfect condition!

Just to make sure I got it right - you had 12 different LS's so far? Wow!
Do you fix them and then sell them, or just iike them too much?

That's gotta be the cleanest 1st gen LS I have ever seen!
Mine is great in terms of the engine and drivetrain, but cosmetically I wish it was as clean as yours...

How much did you pay?

Sooo I got this car from a family where the owner had passed away and they just wanted it gone. I think I got a deal of a century considering Ive seen craigslists ads of 92-99 ls with 250k plus with damange between $1500-4. Car cost me $1800 tax tags and titles I was at $2,025. I have no plans of ever selling this car, and it pains me not being able to put it in a garage for now which is where it spent it's whole life. It's not my daily driver so I don't wanna rack up miles but I will drive and maintain it. She's a nice car I wanna keep her that way for years to come.
And thanks for all the posts and the links to the helpful infor you guys have been great!!

2k total for any car with such low miles is practically giving the car away. Let alone one of the most reliable, if not the most reliable, cars on the planet. This can hardly be defined as a steal.

Wow, you'd have to go to Toyota's corporate museum to see a first-year LS cleaner than that! Congrats on an amazing find and deal! Please find a garage for it!
