Default 92 ls400 no reverse drives in neutral

so trying to get my 92 ls400 running like a champ fixed tps problem, fixed crank seal, only thing left was the tranny code 63, dropped the pan and removed the 2 solenoids put the pan and fluid back in drove the car, had the car backed into the spot I was working on the car, like a dummy didn't check all the gears 1st. drove it home from test drive parked in my usual spot ,go to leave later on no reverse. put in N. car drove forward. completely stumped, went to junk yard again got 2 more solenoids no luck, my buddy is a legit mechanic hes stumped too, he said could be a band that broke, car goes in R using the override button, other than that car drives fine, if anyone out here can shine some light on my situation or if anyone has had this issue feel free to leave some input . thank you

Check you neutral safty switch, you need to adjust it so it can be on position. Its on the right side of the tranny if i remember it correctly

I would double check the linkage and the wiring harness going to the trans. Going in reverse with the over drive button makes me think electronic connections.

If all you did was remove and retit the shift solenoids I would recheck these and the wiring to them 1st.
