wheel woes!!
i have a 96 ls400, tried to get some bbs rs reps but it didnt clear
at 18x8 +30mm with 5mm spacer it still didnt clear
to get them to fit i have i will need to use a studded adapter and major pull since it already sticks outta the fender
does anyone have/know of similar wheels that might be easier to clear with minimal work
**** i love the real bbs, but until i'm willing to sell my other toys and give my other hobbies its not in my future****

you will need to get wheels with a hi pad or better spoke design.
have you tried a 10mm spacer? of course they don't make 10mm adapter-type (studded) spacers but they do make some with extended wheels studs to compensate for the spacer.

You do not need high offset wheels to clear LS400 brakes, like Timmy said, you need hi-pad/hi-disc wheels.
Your best bet is to sell those wheels and get something different if they are already poking out. You might get away with a 10mm spacer but you'll have camber and pull the hell out it to avoid the fender. 8" wide means you pretty much have to run a boxed tire so no stretch to save you either!

15mm is typical for non BBK wheels but it may take 20mm depending on spoke style. The resulting fitment will be pretty aggressive as you found out. Sell the wheels and get some that don't require all the work-around. Well, unless you want an aggressive fitment.
thanks guys for all the replies
i know i need a hi-pad and or different spoke design
i didnt buy the wheels yet either
i was just venting on how much i really liked the way it looked on my car when test fitted but couldnt get it to fit with minimal work
also was just wondering if anyone knew of a similar design that would work
thanks again
