Default floor mat sizing question

I know 95-97 factory floor mats are identical in size and will interchange between years, is it also true that 98-2000 are also the exact size and shape of 95-97 and will interchange as well?

They should considering it's essentially the same car/chassis.

I have a set of winter OEM 06 GS430 mats from a previous car that are also almost an exact fit... I imagine there are a few others that would be very close.

90-00 ls400 mats will fit. I prefer the first gen mats in my 95 because they are ever so slightly larger and cover more of the carpet. If you are thinking of buying a new set, go for 90-94. Even though the grommet holes are positioned a little different, they work just fine.

I want the holes lined up perfect, they serve an important function, they keep the floor mats from moving around, if I am gonna spend $89 on factory floor mats, I don't want them moving!

I just need to know if all years between 95-2000 are fully interchangeable, they should be, but I am confused why the online dealerships market them as fitting 97-2000

and there are no factory OEM floor mats at rock auto, I wish there was, it would be a good price!

95-00 will fit, but colors varied slightly between the 95-96, 97, and '98-00 cars.
