If you think that's harsh criticism please don't open up half the threads in this forum lol. I hear what your saying though.

Its not like the guy is doing brake or suspension work, he's doing a simple cosmetic mod, won't affect you at all if it flakes off, which I would bet it never does. I like the look of the factory grille, I did my emblems all flat black (only because they were gold and looked tacky), but if mine were chrome I would be on my way to get some of that paint, it looks good.
my emblems were originally gold to actually. hated it so i did the mod to make them chrome i think it was on the sc300/400 forum on how to make them chrome. I was originally gonna do them flat black but on a black car i dont think it would look all that great. so i decided chrome. as for the hate it doesnt bother me. they do bring up good points. but this was literally probably 15-20 mins of work . 5 to take the girll off. and 5 more for each coat. If it does flake. Ill just respray. it its that simple. and i still think its 100x better then doing that chrome strip mod and wasting $35 on chrome strips. oh and i think it looks great.

I think it looks great from the pics. I have a spare grill. I might try diamond white pearl just to see how it will look matching the body color.

I used the same rustoleum chrome paint. I have another Lexus grille that I will use the duplicolor chrome paint on to see what looks best. I will clearcoat that and polish as well.

It just flows so well with your car color and headlights. It does not stand out too much. Did you spray over the chrome edges?
