Default i need your help

Hello
I have Lexus LS400 model 1992 and I have a problem but I don’t know who to solve it, the problem is when I put a transmission in the case of a driver going strong voice from the back side, I don’t know from where exactly from the shaft or differential.
please If anyone knows what is the problem and how to fix it please tell me as soon as possible.

the transmission mount is the most likely culprit

Toyota part number 12371-50010 - very low cost to buy and very easy to install

also check fluid level in transmission when in Park with engine running and transmission hot, transmission fluid level should be at the top of HOT range on dipstick

also check and change differential fluid

Thanks
I already change the oil transmission and oil differential, but still I have the same problem.
What I should be to check again?

He suggested you to change the transmission rear support, Toyota part number 12371-50010

If you check this post: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/3950697-post10.html

it is the rear engine mounting insulator

how many miles on the car? if the transmission mount is good.... if I understand you, when you put the transmission in gear and drive, you are hearing a noise behind you. is it possible to put the car on a lift and run it, to see where the noise is coming from?

How many miles/km on car? If the differential fluid has not been changed this may also make noise. Replace the fluid and see if the sound goes away.

Thank you very much

I didn’t mean noise during the course of the car on the street, but from the first moment, once you put the transmission in case of the drive is coming thump from the back
I use the brake to reduce the power of the noise.
Note that when I put my transmission in the status of reversing it does not make any sound.

I think if you replace differential fluid with the proper type (GL5) and also change transmission fluid and filter using correct Toyota filter and Toyota T-IV fluid that you have a good chance of solving this problem.

do those two fixes first before anything major

Sorry to ask but while on the subject:

from which year there is an actual transmission oil filter in the transmission instead of a simple screen?

What about the support bearing for the drive shaft? Might be worth a look to see if it is worn.

most transmissions (including our Aisins) typically use device that is kind of somewhere between a filter and a "screen", it's like a very fine mesh that is almost like the nylon material of a woman's panty hose (tights) although sometimes this fine mesh can be made of metal.

OK. Is there usually any need to change it?

This seems to be a Wix 58603 for a 1991.

personally, maybe it's just me, but I strongly prefer the genuine Toyota/Aisin filter part number 35330-50010 and the Fel-Pro gasket

I realize that $40 is a lot of money for a filter, but your transmission costs $4000 or more and this filter is only normally replaced once in the life of the car, so I will spend the $40

also, I have been very unimpressed with WIX, FRAM, and other aftermarket companies on the quality of their transmission filters, whereas many of these companies make great oil filters in their premium lines - the tranny filters look like they are a relabeled version of the low-bid Chinese no-name filter!

I hear you. But the original over here is around $130...140. I'll check OEM and aftermarket prices this week.

Already I change the oil transmission filter, but what about the shaft bushing?
