Default 99 LS Throttle Body question...?

Just got a TB gasket from Sewell getting ready to pull it off and give her a good cleaning.

Question
Can this be done without tampering with the TPS (throttle position sensor)? It looks like I can detach it completely intact, before pulling the TB off, without changing it's setting but I wanted to be sure.

Thanks in advance!

OK lets try this again. I'm not exactly sure what Pure means by "throttle by wire"...

After taking a closer look-
Can I remove the Throttle Control Motor Cover, with the TP sensor still intact, then remove the TB for cleaning without disturbing the TP sensor?

I'd really like to do this without having to re calibrate the TP sensor.

Thanks again!
