A direct replacement, the best price I found for the OEM set was about 998 for the set of 4. there are NO aftermarket options, unless you go with questionable coilovers, unless you want to spend 1500 or so on Tien. I'm referencing the 3G

 

Not sure what car you're talking about but the LS400s (89-94 and 95-00) have a plethora of aftermarket shocks available, including KYB who made the OE shocks for Toyota.
