i'm getting a noise when i go over bumps. it sound like a bad upper strut mount but i don't know if the 91 Ls with air suspension has upper mounts. it definitly sound like something is loose but i checked the ball joints and all seems fine. if anyone can shed some light on this situation thanks in advance!!!

Check controll arms. Just lift the car up and push and pull the controll arm on the side that makes the noise. If it is a little loose, there is your problem right there.

what if i hear the noise when i turn. it kinda sounds like a hammer hitting a nail

thanks retro i'll try that. btw can the air shocks themselves make noise?

LS's are know to have noisy shocks, like a psssst sound when they go over a bump, not a clunking sound though.
