Has anyone tried this GS kit in their LS 400?

I want to put a cargo net in the 2000 LS, but it does not have the hooks in it and I don't see on the Sewell site where the hooks are available for the LS.
I don't see why I couldn't use these....

Any help/assistance on this would be great.

i had experience using this on a GS, i can say it's very easy to adapt this to work on any car with the right provisions. you do need to drill a hole near the edge of something metallic or strong enough to house the clip nut. once that is situated the threaded rod goes right in as well as the hooks.

the problem is that the net can only stretch so far. GS trunks seem smaller in width than ours. make sure the net can reach both ends of the hooks before making any holes. have fun!

I THINK (very sketchy, forget where i heard it) that a current gen 2IS net kit will work on a UCF20/21 chassis.

That is what I remember too. Check to see of the cargo net hooks from the IS or RX fit. No drilling is necessary to install the OEM cargo net on an LS400 - you just pop off the top most fastener on each side of the trunk opening and screw in the hooks. I bought one for both the 90 LS I used to have and for the 00 LS I now have.

Thanks for the info...my search skills on this site are apparently weak....

I followed up on the links you had above...particularly to the 'lexuspartsonline'... that link is broken as they've changed from .com to .net...

Using the part number you provided I searched on their lexuspartsonline.net and found the LS400 Cargo Net for $21...

Interesting enough if you search on keyword ' Cargo' or 'Cargo Net' the site will find no matches, but if you search on the part number, it will show you the Cargo net. That part is frustrating....

And if you put that part number in the Sewell Lexus parts site, there are no matches either.

At the time of the original thread Vincent123 said he ordered it and hoped that it included the hardware...but he never reported back on whether it did or not. For the $21 I think I'll take a chance and see if it comes with the hardware. I've had these nets in my Avalons and really want one in the LS. I do read in your initial thread that the nets you ordered came with the hooks. Excellent. Hope they still do. Will report back once it comes in.

UPDATE...
Got a call from Lexuspartsonline.net.... nice of them...
to let me know that the part the LS Cargo net is no longer available for the LS400... out of stock, even thought it's listed as available on their web site...

After looking up the IS part number that was stated could be used... Part #: PT34753060 (In Stock)
He found the LS430 part was available and we ordered those instead....about $7 more than the original $21 I thought.
