Default 1995 LS400 or 2001/02 GS 300

I currently have my 1995 LS 400 with approx. 205,000 KMS on the vehicle. Drives very nice and haven't really had any problems aside from one O2 sensor. Of course it will eventually need new tires and as usual the brakes etc... Plus I should flush the transmission fluid etc.

Today I came across an ad for a 2001 GS 300 with 146,000 KMS on it at a price of $11,500 (CAD) or a 2002 GS 300 with 142,000 KMS for $12,880 (CAD).

Is it a much nicer car then my current LS 400 which I love? Or should I just keep the LS400!

I'm intrigued to move up 6 years in car age...

What is everybodys opinion, generally just on which car would be the better car to own.

The GS is a nice car however it is in a different class than the LS as was previously stated. A modified LS and a modified GS standing side by side would be an easy choice for me (LS). Sorry to the GS guys but at least in my area a modified LS is truly unique.

Me personally, I would stick with the LS but that is your decision. When I replace my 95 LS it will be with another LS - and mods will be done

More power to you on the newer GS though

Haha thats what I was thinking... "downgrade" .

I went and test drove the GS today and did not like the feel of it compared to my LS.

Staying with the LS. Thought more people would start a discussion in this thread.

The GS is a nice vehicle BUT...

If you REALLY want to tempt yourself go drive an LS430. BLOWS the GS away and can be had for nearly the same money. I love my 1999 but my buddy got a black/black 2006 430 and all I can say is WOW. Better in every way (except top speed )
