Adding heated seats?
How hard is it to add heated seats to my ls if it wasn't a option?
Is the wiring there from the factory?
Would it be as simple as adding the seats and the switch?

Toyota rarely prewires cars for features not installed at the factory. My first LS400 did not have heated seats and the car was definitely not prewired for them. I suppose you could add aftermarket seat heater grids - kits are available. You would have to remove/reinstall the upholstery, run the cables with fuses and relays, tap into the electrical system and find someplace to mount the switches ... or you could buy an LS with seat heaters.
Ok thanks.
I was just wondering because I noticed the wiring in the trunk for the car phone, and the car doesn't have one.
Wasn't sure if the factory used one harness for all the cars and just installed select options.

The car phone prewiring may have been the only exception since car phone systems were Lexus dealer installed options and never installed at the factory. I've never found any unused wiring or connectors - other than for the car phone - in either my 90 or 00 LS400.
