97 LS400 emblem removal

There are two prongs behind the "LS, two behind the "400" and two behind "Lexus" (one on the L and one on the S). I've got the ones I removed sitting next to me ha. For what it's worth, there are two on the "L" as well.
Easiest removal is to get some adhesive remover that won't damage your paint, then take a piece of dental floss and floss it between the glue and the paint. Don't use paint scrapers or anything hard plastic as this can scratch the paint.

Well, from what I've heard, you can use a heat gun around the edges until you're able to wiggle the emblem(s) around and after that, use the dental floss/fishing line and use that to "cut" through the double sided tape, and finish off by removing the extra adhesive residue with some 3M Adhesive Remover and a rag.

Yes there are holes behind both emblems. When i swapped trunk lids the emblems off the old trunk came off very easy. There are grommets that go into the holes that help the pegs on back of emblems stay in place.
Geek, you can but gold plated ones on line if you break the other other ones.
