Or upper ball joints...

Think about it, if a balljoints separates from the knuckle or LCA... What's holding that of the suspension to the car and from falling out?

Scary I know but if you have a partially separated LBJ, you are a short drive away from the pictures above!

Replaced the arm on the Driver's side.... Thanks Shmee for giveing me the scare as it was worth it... Here's the differences in the old vs replacement...

I need to raise the car up quite a bit... Although this is usually my style, I just want it to sit a bit higher...

The scare is worth it, reminds us to monitor our suspensions. Yesterday saw a flatbed on the freeway that was loading up a lowered car where this had happened. Fender mods like this are

ECU Capacitors? What would that have to do with suspension? Or are you mentioning something else?

Yeah, well we've replaced the UCAs yesterday, i've already replaced all my inner and outer tie rods. strut rod bushings have been replaced, wheel bearings have been replaced.
all that is a great plan, the new tie rod ends are my favorite repair, makes the steering feel like a new car, although not sure I have ever seen any Lexus/Toyota wheel bearings fail in less than 250K miles though, I think those are often replaced more than necessary, while those tie rod ends are usually ignored, especially the inners.

So I've noticed since the day after I replaced the Driver's Lower Control arm, somehow the LBJ is still tapping the rotor, just with dips or when there is load on that corner.

I have been inspecting the LCA replacement and it doesn't appear to be bent, it was purchased used. Looking back at the photos, i'm wondering if my red-line markers indicate the arm is also bent. I should probably compare it to the passenger side.

I was thinking of putting in a brand new OEM LCA however, the only thing i'm worried about, is that it might not be the LCA.

The car's body is straight so I don't know what else it could be.

how are the balljoints? this thread is all about them. remember the LCAs don't come with ball joints. they are separate so the original balljoint may still be installed, and has failed.
