Default Tune up question?

Forum....i just tuned up my 95 LS400. New plugs, cable, caps and rotors. Car now starts a little quicker and accelerates a little better, but now as good as I know it could. It now sputters and pop a little as I drive it. My next move is to Seafoam it, change my coolent temperature sensor and fuel filter. Am I on the right track, what else could be giving me power issues?

You could clean your throttle body. That would help with the idle

I would probably hold off on the fuel filter. Just use some good fuel cleaner additive or take it to have fuel system cleaned. Seafoam is ok but you might need something stronger.

Rewind a little here, was it spluttering and popping a little before you did the tune up?
If it wasn't then I would be going back over the work done before looking any further.
Were all the leads, plugs etc all OEM specification, there have been cases where cheap parts have caused problems.

yes, clean throttle body/butterfly, replace coolant temp sensor with the real Toyota dealership part (should be around $55 if you got the right one) and do the ECU caps - the problem is not the fuel filter or air filer or cabin filter - you might also want to spray off your MAF sensor with CRC MAF sensor cleaner but do not physically touch it with anything.

of all the things you have already done, and all the things I suggested, the single thing that made the biggest power difference in my 96 was doing the ECU caps!
