"Premium Unleaded Fuel Only" Light
I was looking at reviews of the Lexus LS400 for years around mine (1992), and noticed in a picture that the "Premium Unleaded Fuel Only" light on the instrument cluster was illuminated a bright blue. (See the attached picture). Mine is not illuminated at all, nor are others that I have seen. Why the discrepancy?

Mine has the writing next to the fuel gauge that says "Premium Unleaded Fuel Only," but it is not illuminated. In the picture, the same thing has a bright blue color. That car is either a 1993 or a 1994 model (in the picture). I think it is a U.S. model, since the steering wheel is on the left side. Maybe these cars came with the blue light, but it burns out quickly. Who knows?

When you say its not illuminated you mean like a warning light? It should light up in the same optitron color as your gauges, its not a light its just text in the gauge facing.
The bright blue is odd, I've never seen that before.
