So I broke my A/C center vent piece that allow the vent to shift vertical. Is it possible to use the vent pieces from the 95-97 LS? I have a 98 LS. Thx.

I think mine are broken too. Two of the vertical fins just rattle around in there and make noise when the fan is on.

Try to pry that whole thing out and check if the vents are connected good as in the holes line up with the plastics. Reason said was because when I put in my double din, those vents fell apart n have to be put back correctly.

I just bought a replacement. Found out the 95-97 vents are larger by a bit.

The price of a new replacement is outrageous. I had a search going on eBay for months and finally got NIB replacement the other day for $22. The part number is 55660-50050 for my 1998 LS. The cheapest I could find one was $427.

Yes, broken plastic parts are big $. I'll mentioned this though...if you plan on keeping the car for a spell, buy these while available. Fortunately these cars aren't so old that parts are rare but get while the getting is good.

My eBay replacement vent has shipped and I will be swapping mine out next week. Mine is cracked around the edges but I have all of the pieces. If you think that using parts from my old one would help you get yours working, PM me and I will mail it to you.
