Default LS 400 0 - 60 & 1/4 mile times

This data is kind of interesting. Especially, how the 01 430 is slower to 60 then then 98, 99, and 2000 400 but the same as the 99 and 2000 in the 1/4 mile.

1990 Lexus LS 400 0-60 mph 8.0 Quarter mile 15.9

1992 Lexus LS 400 0-60 mph 7.9 Quarter mile 15.8

1993 Lexus LS 400 0-60 mph 8.1 Quarter mile 16.0

1995 Lexus LS 400 0-60 mph 7.3 Quarter mile 15.3

1997 Lexus LS 400 0-60 mph 6.9 Quarter mile 15.0

1998 Lexus LS 400 0-60 mph 6.2 Quarter mile 14.8

1999 Lexus LS 400 0-60 mph 6.2 Quarter mile 14.6

2000 Lexus LS 400 0-60 mph 6.2 Quarter mile 14.6

Just for comparison....

2001 Lexus LS 430 0-60 mph 6.6 Quarter mile 14.6

2007 Lexus LS 460L 0-60 mph 6.1 Quarter mile 14.4

2008 Lexus LS 600hL 0-60 mph 5.3 Quarter Mile 13.6

2010 Lexus LS 460 Sport 0-60 mph 5.9 Quarter Mile 14.2

2012 Lexus LS 460 AWD 0-60 mph 5.9 Quarter Mile 14.0

2013 Lexus LS460 F Sport 0-60 mph rwd 5.4 awd 5.9 Quarter Mile rwd 14.0 awd 14.3

Updated...

5.4 to 60 on the RWD and 5.9 on the AWD. Looks like the 600 hybrid is still the king.

grave yard bump. but curious if anyone has vids of a second gen ls going down the strip? Serious can not find one on youtube. Have a buddy that want's to race me in his new regal turbo at our tracks open night today. All the 1/4 mile times are all over the place for my early 97...

this isn't a drag strip per se, but it "isn't" me doing a 0-100 run on a flat, dead straight road and the 98-99 LS does complete the 1/4 mile at about 100

that vvti helps a bit on your end. Mine was serious a few month before they switched. I see posted times between 15 and 16.5 for mine.

I'll add that I have never down this either...

Now if someone that's done the eaton m90 blower upgrade to the 1uzfe could post a 1/4 mile time....

I do feel like my 93 ls400 really needs this mod BADLY heheh. Alas, it has become my DD as of late so such upgrades must wait....

You can generally find an old auto magazine review listing 0-60 times. The times listed in the original post seem to be about .1 too fast across the board.

why, does something seem wrong about them? i consistently get 6.1-6.3 0-60 depending on temperature, how good the launch is, fuel load, etc...

I personally don't care about how quickly a luxury car can reach 60mph or 1/4 mile times, but then again I ride a sportbike that can reach 58 in 1st gear and gets 38mpg while doing it (suck it hybrids, except F1 cars, the P1, and 918)...that's why I'm getting another LS400; if I want speed I'll take 2 wheels and if I need to wear a suit made from cloth, I'll take an LS400.
