Greetings,

96 LS400, 256K

When I turn the key (yesterday and today, when the car is cold) the first click just makes a clicking noise, but no start. When I try again, it starts perfectly (so it has a strong battery).

Any ideas? Would like to be prepared before it just refuses altogether.

 

if all the grounds are solid then it sounds like a dying starter.

 

Sounds like what my starter did a few months before it went out.
