How many are there? and how difficult are they to replace?
After fixing my leaky valve covers, the hoses around the oil pan and filter have started to fail.
It isnt bad enough to constantly drip oil, but the hoses and crossmember always have oil on them.
I want to replace everything at one time so that one patched leak doesnt cause a blowout somewhere else and give me another leak in a month.

Has nobody replaced there oil lines?
I know there has to be some people who have gone forced induction on here.
Besides the oil lines, oil pan gasket, and valve cover gaskets what else can possibly leak oil on our cars?

the oil might be coming from a single source and dripping everywhere. find that, clean, then see if any more pop up. i have the same issue but i believe a simple oil pan gasket replacement will fix it all.
I don't recall there's any external oil line or oil hose on the 1UZ engine. If you already replaced the valve covers, then that leak got to come from either oil pan gasket, front crank seal, rear crank seal, or cam seals. If you can't find the leak now, clean it with engine cleaner, hose it off with water, and drive it for a few days and check on the leak.
Also, check on the back of the valve covers. There's 1 black plastic round plate at the end of each valve cover. The plate diameter is about 2". Make sure they're there and secured by the brackets. The leak can be from there, too.

Finally fixed!
I could never find the leak, no matter how much I cleaned and looked.
Repair shop couldnt find it either. Ended up using oil dye and a blcklight to find it.
The oil pressure sensor had failed and was spraying oil everywhere.
The 1uz may not have any external oil lines, but I believe this sensor is on a metal tube right by the oil pan and filter which looks a heck of a lot like an external oil line. That is what caused my confusion.

Hey, just bought a LS400 with a busted oil pan and it seems the line in reference in this thread has also been damaged. Can't find anything on a part number or diagram about this line, anyone have additional info? Have already checked FAQ.
