Default frog/burping noise

Can someone help please! I started my ls4 today and let it run so battery can charge. After turning my engine off i heard a frog/burping noise. After two hours of searching where the noise was coming from i found that it was coming from the charcoal evap canister. Has anyone have this problem before? What do i have to do to get rid of the noise???

You are not crazy, I too have heard this noise. It's almost as if the car is breathing. I never tracked down where it was coming from though.

This is similar to the LS 400. Yours might be going bad.

Your "burping noise" is probably coming from the flaps in the HVAC system opening or closing after the engine is shut off. My 90 LS did that for the entire 13 1/2 years I owned it. My assumption was that the flaps are operated by vacuum which was lost after the engine was shut off.

It will do it even with the battery disconnected.

Mine's more like a very gentle fart to me (picture through long thick winter pants and a long overcoat). But after 15 years I ignore it.
