Default key stuck in ignition

i had a post about this before. but this is still a on goin problem. once key is in ignition and i turn on the car. when i go to take out the key. i cant just turn it off and remove key. i have to turn key fast like im turning over the motor again then turn it back fast to off and then it will come out. like my starter has to turn or something. can anyone tell me what the problem is. every once in a while after i drive the car and park it. the key will come out normal. but this is very rare. is it something with the ignition or electronics of the car? any help would be much apprciated. also i have tried puting a lil lube on the key that doesnt work at all.

when it gets stuck, did you try to shake (turn it back and fort softly) the wheel, it might be the locking mechanism

yes i tried turnin the wheel back and forth. also when my alternator was bad and my battery wasnt charging right. when the car would die my key would come out normal every time. but when everything seems right with the car the key gets stuck. i figured someone has to know what this could possibly be.

Maybe its the lock cylinder. Make sure you have the car fully in park. It happens to me sometimes when i don't have it in park all the way.

A mech is telling me the key is the problem but I doubt it.I sometimes have to fully depress the brakes to take the key out. Most of the time I have to turn off and then turn back on and then off again to release the key.
