stock radio issue help please

So I swapped my radio out with another stock unit it is from a 95 and my car is a 96 everything is working but my sub is not working at all. when I turn the bass up I can hear it change in the speakers but still no sub.

Should have worked. Where or who did you get it from? Probably a bad radio.

you did make sure that you replaced a pioneer (lexus "premium" sound) headunit with another pioneer or if your car was originally nakamichi equipped you used another nakamichi headunit.

only like for like.

My old radio had a big wood grain piece over the entire radio so I don't know what it was. I am going to look under the seat today see what amp is there I should have a touch screen in a week so I am not to worried.

why not just peel the wood grain off...

your shiny new touchscreen won't work at all until you figure out what kinda system you have to make sure you have the right wiring harness...

What do the sound/balance/fader ***** look like? are they round, or do they have the flat raised part on the front? look up pictures of nakamichi vs pioneer and you'll see what I mean. nakamichi are fully round, and pioneers have the flat part.

The display was blank and non of the presets would work so you would have to seek to what ever you wanted in hopes of finding it.
