Default Fender rolling dimples

I had my fenders rolled today. I knew that there would be dimples but it is worse then I thought and very noticeable. The place I took it to only rolled them partially and said that the more he rolled the worse the dimples would get. But a part of me thinks if i took it back and had him roll it more (maybe even flat?) it would push out the dimples and look better. Does anybody know the way to make the dimples the least noticeable?

Here is the worst one. Sorry the pics are so big, I don't know how to shrink them.

you're going to have dimples, it's unavoidable because the holes in the fender lip are square to accommodate the liners clips.

if you want dimple-free fenders and no rubbing you have to have the fender cut, welded, worked, and painted.

Yup, the more i rolled mines the worst the dimples got. You need to take it to a shop if you want it to be perfect.

most likely you would need to cut the metal tabs out if not already and use metal hammer and dolly to get it perfectly smooth and maybe need to repaint that section after it's hard work getting it perfect.

For the sake of discussion, what are the wheel and tire specs?

Front 20x8.5 +35mm with 245/35r20 I am going to go with a smaller tire and put on spacers to get a better flush look. Rears 20x10 +43mm with 275/30r20 I want to do the same with the rear and put a spacer on to get it flush.

you're going to need some big spacers... you're running beefy tires for those sizes if you want to be flush...

i run your front tires on my 10.5 rears...

I am planning on changing tires. What size tires and what size spacers would you recommend?

Sorry to say but that inner lip which got rolled should have been shaved off to avoid those tab inserts completely before rolling. Should go fairly smoothly after that, just FYI in case anyone reading is thinking about rolling or pulling. Looks like good progress though. Keep it up!

when you do that you lose ALL the strength in the fender, as that seam is what holds the 2 pieces of metal (inner structure and the skin) together.

shaving the rears an amount is possible because the quarter panel is set up differently.
