91 ls 400

my car was running and i turned it off and like an hour later i went to start it back up and when i turned the key the only think that happened was the fuel pump turned on. plz help if u can wat could it be

Did the dash illuminate? Did it make any sound whatsoever? Like a click or something?

when my starter died the only thing that I could tell was working was the fuel pump.
for your wallets sake I hope it wasnt that.
