I LOVE my car
Driving to a business meeting in Mississippi. 3am on Natchez trace listening to Diana Krall light rain on the windsheld the deep hum of the V8.
Lost in complete comfort. just happen to look down, crusin at 92mph with no problems.
I LOVE my LS!! I made this trip last year in a Navigator it was nice but nothing like this.
Looking forward to the ride back home. (how many people can say that, after a 18hr road trip?)
what do you listen to in your LS?

I spent three days in my LS for a cross country road trip and all I can say is PERFECTION!!! It was smooth and it sailed along like a feather in the air. Total mileage after three days was 3,162

Diana Krall has some of the best quality recorded material. Good choice to get all the sound quality possible out of your system. LS is the sh|t on long road trips.

14 hours from NY to Georgia, ahh the 'RELENTLESS feel of smoothness driving @ 80-90MPH. I do it every year. My next challenge is cross country of course in the my LS.

Yup gotta agree, my Silver '94 w/ 79k on it is sweet. And especially after driving/riding in someone else's 'new' car, which may be 8 yrs newer but nowhere near as refined.
I do wish it had more power! About 400 hp!

Road trip
My wife and I are leaving on a road trip in a couple of weeks in our 96 LS400 driving about 4000 miles and we can't wait. The most I have driven up to now is about 200 mls so I am excited and expect to be able to drive 6 or 7 hours straight and step out refreshed...unlike any other car...I love my Lexus and no Mercedes makes me look twice like seeing an LS400 cruise by.

When I was down in Florida about 2 months ago, I purchased my gorgeous 1991 LS400, with only 72000 miles from an old couple! Great car and very well taken care of I live in maryland (DC area) and I had to drive it up north on I95. And mannnnn, was that drive sweet. It was without a doubt the best 16 straight hours I ever spent in a car, EVER! There is just something about the ride, its serene and plush. No annoying and sudden movements. Everything is calm. The engine has a very deep hum to it that you have to sort of strain to hear, but once you DO hear it, it's the sweetest note in the world. And those comfy seats: there is this sort of firmness combined with comfort that make them great for long trips. After 16 hours driving (with brakes in between, which made the whole trip probably more like 20 hours), I jumped out of the car and was fresh to do anything; be it a soccer game, or read the post These are a pleasure to drive and ride in. Now who wants to pay that much money to "feel the road?"

92mph on the Trace? You better watch out, that's a patrolled 50 mph federal road!
I love my wife's LS430. I smiled everytime I would sit down in it, which was far too seldom.
Now I have my own--a 2003 SC430, and I love it, too! Same 300Hp engine as the LS430, hardtop convertible, tighter steering. Rougher ride, but that will be helped when I wear out the runflats and replace them with Michelin Pilot Sports. The SC430 is terrific for a second car. I traded in a 1994 white/gray LS400 with 146,000 miles that ran and looked nearly new, and I still miss it for nostalgia, but love driving the SC430.
