Question about corner light on 97 LS400
I know this might be a stupid question, but do the corner lights...light up? I just noticed I haven't seen them turn on at night on my car and I guess the bulbs might be out.

Yes, the corner lights are supposed to light up.
I don't remember exactly, but I believe they use 194 bulbs. Double check your owners manual for reference - here is a post I found for a 1999.
When working, they should look like this:

yep they light up! 194 bulb in there.
remove the one screw at the top accessible with the hood opened.
then the whole lens will need to be pried outward away from the vehicle (forward in the same direction as the headlight beam)!
while on the subject, FYI fact: the Japanese equivalent used a bigger, dual filament bulb.
