ZR1 corvete wheels.
So I found some zr1 wheels for $350. Wondering what y'all think bout putting em on the ucf10? They are 17x9 front and 17x11 rear. I'm just wondering if the rears would even fit. I plan on pulling the quarters and making em flush with the body.

out of the box it won't work at all, ZR1s are standard GM bolt pattern, 5x120.65mm.
will need adapters+rings just to get started, then the width comes into play. on the plus side, they are relatively high offset (in the 50's iirc) but you will need to take it all into account.

I knew that its a different pattern. I also knew I would need spacers for em to fit. So the different pattern wouldn't be an ishue. I would just use spacers that are adapters. Not shuer how thick of a spacer I would need though. I know that seeing a 11" wide wheel from behind a car looks beast as ******! And I know it would give me all the traction I would ever need. I hate slowing down on the on and off ramps when changing from one hwy to the other.
Idk.. if it'll take to much to fit em, id probibaly just do a fresh powder coat and re-sell em.

how do they look like? Is it worth the hassle? 350 for wheels then its another 200 bucks for spacers/adapter, for that price you could get a decent looking set of wheels.

Most of the traction comes from having sticky tires and good rear shock valving and spring rate selection, not from wider tires.
p.s. I'm not a fan of spacers, even bolt on ones because those bolt on ones tend to have aluminum(!!!) studs that are not strong enough to hold a wheel tire combo that can generate a lot of g forces.

the smallest adapter they make are 15mm (if you can find them), and you will need to make sure the ZR1 wheels have a void in them so the factory studs can go into it. it can be done but it all depends on effective offset (offset after the spacers) to determine if they will fit on the car or will require fender mods. of course your ride height and tire choice is a factor as well.
i know lots of track enthusiasts and drifters who use adapters, with no problems at all. it all depends on the brand you use. obviously don't go cheap!

lol your understanding of suspension dynamics isnt really there. by running such a wide stagger with the factory suspension balance you're going to have understeer for miles and miles...
plus given factory sizing of like 275/40 front and 315/35 rear, you are going too spend at LEAST $800 on a set of tires.
if you want grip, some standard sized 17s or 18s, and some relatively sticky tires, and coilovers are what you need.
