exactly... so why waste your time and money on the puller at all... yes, don't hit the uca, hit the knuckle... seriously, 6-10 times a day we do this...

Gentlemen, if you wanna hit the ball joint itself, do it, but be smart about it, use a brass hammer, and for the love of god watch your eyes.

i always though it was weird that people where using pullers also! My friends at lexus always told me to just take a few hits at the knuckle its worked every time

i like pullers, it's more gentle but like i said i use it along with a mini sledge. i can get it off a lot faster with a puller, with less chances of damaging parts, car parts and body parts!
