Leak!!!! Please help!
I just started my car after removing the starter and everything above it on my 91 LS 400, I have a leak on the drivers side of the engine, there's water dripping steadily on the ground and I see water on the lower intake gasket.. Anyone else experienced this after a reassembly? Also looks like a leak of fuel on my supply line. I didn't replace the fuel line washers. Is this a necessity? The other fuel lines don't seem to be leaking. Thanks, Bradley.
no we didnt experience any of that.... and have done both cars.. so just go back and do what needs to be done to get it right.. check ALL your parts for their condition and ability to seal.
I wouldnt reuse your crushed washers on the fuel line, they are cheap and can be found just about any parts store. On the Intake side of the throttle body, there is a coolant line. Did you make sure it is secured and tightened down securely? I ran into this before on my SC400. When you say water, is it mixed with coolant or just plain clear water? I am in Huntsville area, if you want to bring it by.
could be the throttle body coolant line (relatively easy to fix) or the main coolant bypass tube (between the cylinder heads) that you either didnt re-seal properly or knocked loose. if so, that's going to suck to fix.
