So i managed to check the vaccum pipes as stated before,
Next thing, got a toolkit.

Now i just cleaned the MAF sensor, got a new battery and just waiting on the fuel i forgot in someone else's car (91 grade octane),

Will put stuff togather and will post in the next 1hr the results

The car still shut off on me, The MAF is clean, the fuel is 91 the battery is good.

Although the timing belt needs replacing i dont think that that maybe the actual cause of shutoff.
Iam saying that because If the belt may slip, it would have slipped alot of theeth by revving or anything, but it does not do anything. I guess iam gonna give it into dealrship now

DId you ever call Lexus and give them the code? I am for sure it is a sensor and someone suggested a crank sensor which it could be... I just had a issue with my car where the VSC light came on and the service engine light, I went to autozone got the code. Called lexus told them the code and they told me which part I needed. I ordered part (sensor) put it on and the no problem since..

So i just called lexus to tell them the code, theysaid its a system lean code and applies to a broader situation, so i hv to bring the car inn. Also the car never gave the code again so now thts a situation.
Also i dont know where the crank and cam sensors are. If anything were wrong with any of those i think the car would either not start or run rough from the start rather than waiting for the car to heat up. Just what comes to my mind atm

I understand.. I used the code I got and called 3 different Lexus dealerships until I made sure it was the right part.. You can always call another delaer and go from there. The guy might have just had one in there with a similiar issue or might help more then the other guy you just called.

Sounds to me like fuel pump is bad and unable to hold pressure once the pump gets hot.

Disconnect the fuel line or hook up a guage to the fuel pressure port, more then likely that's your problem.

That sounds like a much more resonable problem to me, but Now the car is at the dealer,
I hope i dont get a jack mechanic that rips me off without fixin the car.

Gonna get it fixed there and am gonna post back about what ever the problem was.

also i am unable to clean the MAF because of lack of tools
the only tool needed is a 10mm nutdriver (and a whole set of metric nutdrivers is $7.99 at harbor freight or $15 at home depot or $18 at lowes)

just the 10mm nutdriver and a can of CRC mass airflow cleaner is all ya need (PS do not touch the sensor itself with the plastic tube on the MAF cleaner can, or a q-tip or anything else, just spray thoroughly and you're done)

PS - a dirty MAF sensor, even if it was the dirtiest one of all time, won't cause the car to not crank, it would just cause it to run bad until warmed up and then the car switches over to the O2 sensors primarily and then at that point, and the MAF is not nearly as much consequence. - if in doubt, just unplug the MAF and the computer will sense the fault and go into default mode, which will still run acceptably. (and the check engine light will of course come on if not already on, and another hard fault will be added to your list of codes)

GET THE TIMING BELT DONE NOW (even if it means having the car towed) you will thank me later

**UPDATE**
The dealership contacted the owner even thought i gave them my number primary :@ , but the owner said that dealership qouted around $650 for timing belt ( which i told them that i need done other than the car not working rite),
Also the dealership said that total of $2000 for water pump as its having problems as well as fuel pump which is also having problems, the reason i quoted above suggestion,
I will contact the dealership tomm for accurate diagnosis. Will post tomm

one thing to consider, iff they've got the timing belt apart, there should be no extra labor (maybe 1/2hour TOPS) to replace the water pump at the same time. the parts themselves are not that much.

Dealer ship confirmed. That the fuel pump dies after heating up and the grand total is 2170 which covers timing belt, water pump and fuel pump. The timing belt and waterpump does not include idelers or pulley. Just the 70dollar belt and water pump

lol then tow the car to a proper independant mechanic and get all the work done for 1/2 the cost, including all the OEM parts. absolutely no reason to open up the TB and etc. to do 1/2 the work since belts breaking are rare but the idlers seizing is less so.
