Help with exhaust system needed.
Hello, I'm new to this forum and the lexus world.
I own a 1991 ls400.
What I wanted to ask was, in the exhaust system, which ones are the resonators and which one are the mufflers? i.e, the ones in the middle and the end?
Thanks in advance, your help will be appreciated.

If your car isn't a California car, the first one on either bank after the exhaust manifolds are the cats. The middle one and the two before the mufflers are resonators. If it's a California car the middle one is also a cat.
The ones on either side where you can see the tailpipe sticking out from under the rear bumper are the mufflers

Muffler delete? For what it's worth, I think straight pipes is going a little overboard. Remove everything after the cats, put in an x pipe out to two high flow mufflers and these things sound too awesome.
