Default Undersize tires

Hello people, I have a '93 LS400 lowered on megan ez coils and stockies. I'm having some rubbing issues (rubbing of the fender liner) at the fronts so I'm thinking of running the front tires 215/55/16 which is about 5% (got this from tire size calculator) smaller than the stock size 225/60/16. Am I looking at any problem as far as tripping traction control, braking failure since the front wheels will be spinning 5% faster. New wheels and raising the car of course is not an option.

Here's how it sits at the moment

I ran 195/55/16 tires on my LS for a few months with no issues other than decreased ride quality.

fix the area it's rubbing in with a heat gun and a wet towel, not by dropping tire size...

Thanks! Did you run that size all around or just the front. I want to know if the difference in speed between the front and the rear axle could trip the TRAC or something. I could always turn off TRAC but I like TRAC on in bad weathers!

I'm just looking to know negative effects of running smaller tires cuz I think it's the easiest to get rid of all the rubs, straight bumps rubs, turning rubs, going up incline rubs you know. I'm cool with a little rubbing but when you have passenger, it's just embarrassing.

I ran them all the way around. I had horribly bald/dry rotted/cupped tires on my stock wheels, and got a set of 16" steel wheels with tires for free, so they were my temp wheels for a few months. I had 20" wheels that I wanted to sell, and I didn't want to buy tires for the stock wheels with winter coming up. My plan was buy snow tires for the stock wheels, and buy some nice 18-19's by summer. But yeah, all 4 were under-sized, and I never had any issues.
