LED VIP Tail Install Instructions
No, there are no instructions here but I'm looking for some, rather.
1995 LS400.
Got them and they look great, but the tail light out warning is in the dash. The lights came with a bunch of what looks like huge resistor blocks and wiring harnesses. I'm guessing they connect somewhere behind the trunk liner where the tail light wiring bundle connects.
Does anyone have instructions on that? I've emailed the seller to no avail... yet.
Also, did your LED tails (outer ones) have a rubber gasket around it? The inner ones I have, do have a foam backing but the outer ones do not have a rubber piece surrounding like OE unit has.
Thanks!

the rubber gasket from the oem lights should be transferrable, though it's easier to just buy some new gaskets since the old ones are well, old.
google how to wire the ballast resistors. lots of info available.

pretty much you need to use the resistors to make the car think all your bulbs are still intact. LEDs have a lower resistance thus tripping dash light.. i think all you need to do is add a resistor block to each input of the bulb signal to simulate the bulb. that's just a general idea. search around beyond just lexus, i'm sure other cars (i.e. trucks, etc) have had the same problem when going to LED tails.
