Default Electronic module. Please help.

I wrecked my car on the driver's side. There is a small electronic piece. The piece is okay, but the electrical socket was damaged. I don't know the polarity. I've attatched some pictures. How can I reconnect this? Does the polarity affect it? If it does, how do I know which wire goes to what? Thanks.
It's a 1995 lexus ls 400. The part attaches inside the engine compartment on the drivers side. It's about the size of 2 deck of cards thick, has a ceramic base and an aluminum heat sink top. There are two wires comming out that are the same color
