Default camber problems

Hi guys I'm new to this forum. I'm sure the question has been covered before but ill ask anyway. I have a 91 ls with ksport coilovers. Recently bought new tires and would like to for them to wear kinda flat. Is there a way to adjust the camber to reduce the negative? I'm not asking for perfect....just close. Single dad so I don't really have the money to take it to a shop. Thanks.

absolutely !!!!

got a pic of the car?
dead nuts front and dead nuts rear? and how adjustable are the coilovers?
the best thing to do is bring it to me....i loves me them alignments......but you arent in phoenix...so....

honestly though...the shop I work for charges 60 bucks for an all wheel align....and 40 bucks for a front wheel with caster, and 25 for a toe set......the absolute best thing...find a good shop, pay the money.

if you find one that matches prices, I might he able to fake a work order on my personal car, and fax or email the estimate to you.....but that absolutely cannot happen till monday.

Welcome... Post up a pic of your car.

If you are beyond a 1" drop, you will pretty much have to deal with the neg camber and resulting tire wear. What alignment specs are you at now?

Thanks . It will be some time before I can afford to get it done right. My coilovers are really adjustable. Not sure the exact amount of drop. I'm sitting flush all around right now. Need to roll my fenders before I drop it more. Guess there is about 3 inches of thread left on the adjustments. Emarknot, when I get the money your idea is worth a try. Thanks for the help. I have always been a Honda guy so I have much to learn about Lexus.

Dude, if you can afford a Lexus and coilovers you can fork out ~$80 for a real alignment. All you really need to worry about is the toe. Get it set to 0 all around and you're good. I got 15k miles out of my rear tires with -4.5 out back.

you're going to rape your tires and then complain about how much the alignment will cost?

get an alignment, do it for the tires...

its a 1991 lexus. not exactly new. im a single father of a special needs child. 24 hour job taking care of him. work is not an option for me. so sometimes 80 is alot. i do understand your point though. it is worth that much to save the tires. i really didnt realize it would be that cheap. i have never even sent a car to a shop before.

If you are sitting no finger gap in the front wheel wells, your are probably around -2. Back with a bit of tuck is -2.5 to -3. Get the toe zeroed best as possible and see what you get. Flip the tires and you'll get a bit more out of them.

Mine is pretty conservative and I expect to get ~40K miles out of these Yokohama S Drives. A good alignment helps lots. Otherwise you can chew through them in a month, get it done right.

So I took the ls to the shop. Total waste of time and money. For whatever reason my stock adjustments are at max. I really don't understand why. This car came from an old couple. It was stock everything when I got it. Now I need to find a camber kit, which seems to be nonexistent for a 91. Any help would be great. My rear is setting at 2.8 degrees negative.

shop was stupid unless your car was totally slammed you shouldnt have camber problems. more likely is that the tn weather (?) seized the camber adjustments and your mech was too lazy to fix it. that being said, if the Toe is within spec you'll wear pretty evenly if you flip the tires halfway through their cycle.

edit: missed the part of having coilovers, yeah camber is inevitable. either raise the car or learn to flip the tires.

Raise the car up 1".

The game costs and so chewing tires is part of that stance unfortunately.
