I was searching around and couldn't really find much on this topic. Did any of you guys switch out your shift ***** for a wood trim one? I know we can not fit the newer shift ***** so just wondering what you guys did to yours. Pictures and references would be nice.

You might try a bit more of a thorough search next time, before PD chimes in

you're talking about the wood/leather shift ***** from the 98-00 LS? they wont work with the early type of shifters. you would need to convert to a gated shifter from a '95-97, not at ALL a simple task. if you want more on that task you'd need to look in the SC3/400 forum since they tend to do it more often than 1LS owners.

easily 100-250 in parts (USED) plus the actual wooden shift ****.

That was exactly what I was looking for and now I know why I didn't really find anything since the LS owners don't really do it. I appreciate the info. I guess I will have to find a different route. I just really hate the look of aftermarket shift ***** and I also hate how old the original one looks.
