iv got a 1998 ls400. I took off the shocks myself. Than i took them to meineke
so that they can decompress the spring and put my new struts in. Than i took them back home to install on the car and i can't get the bottom inside the bracket.

I know that the long ones go in the back and shorter ones on the front.

Please help?

 

Try some leverage like using a bar or something but be careful not to overdo it.

You can do a lot of good things with a scissor jack and a line-up pin.

 

Did you take apart the upper ball joint knuckle? If you did you should be able to pull the suspension down enough to install the struts.
