a 92 ls 400 and the driver door on the outside will not open the door, but the inside is working fine. i opened up the door panel, and I see the plastic thing on the metal rod that connects to the door hardware is broken. I tried plastic cable ties but it broke a few weeks later. They dont sell the plastic thing at auto part store and junk yard dont have that car. What can I do to fix it?

where in ca are you? tryed otay mesa junk yards? i remember seeing a lexus/toyota junkyard there that ive been meaning to check out. im sure they have plenty of stuff there.

are you talking about the snaps that connect the metal rods to the front outer door handle? Lexus sells them separately.

use the part number for the color snap you're replacing. approx price is $2-3.50/each (list).

im in phoenix az..there is a HUGE lexus scrapyard here.i could try to help you out.

you could also try calling a company called LKQ. if they are in az,they must be in cali. they carry used everything.

The attached diagram shows part numbers for a number of small parts in the front door.

Dude, get a new one from the dealer like PD said. Nice and cheap. Don't put old brittle plastic back on.
