[QUOTE=PureDrifter;6298490]all the bold pieces are incorrect.
-STB from a TT supra needs to be bent to fit earlier /middle year LS400s

Funny I didn't have to bend mine it only need some washers

-fuel injectors and MAF are ELECTRICAL components, and will not interchange except for several very specific cases (1LS AFM into the 3rd gen Supra Turbo for example) and are not even interchangeable between different gens of the LS. (resistor packs for example on certain injectors, and then only if they are the correct type)

Oddly enough most people at lextreme.com when they SC there ucf they plug and play supra injectors

-sway bars dont fit across at all, they are chassis specific (so work ONLY on the mkiv supra and the XXz30 soarer chassis)

That was qualified as a guess

-the 2UZ engine found in the landcruiser and 4 Runner had weak rods just like the VVT-i 1UZ and the 3UZ. early model 1UZ rods (89-94) are the ones that are considered strong.
-Cams are only interchangeable from a VVT-i series to the same, and non-VVT-i engine, to the same.

True vvt cams will only swap with other vvt cams (kind of covered under "naked eye")

-ES250/Camry does have interchangeability, but the cressida is a WHOLE DIFFERENT CHASSIS. Uses totally different layout (RWD), motor series (M series L6), and interior/exterior pieces. absolute most that will swap are the basic electrical components that toyota shared through all vehicles built at the same time and that is it. not even close to being an "identical" car.

My mistake i confused the camery with the cressida. That being said I wouldn't be surprised to see the cressida single piece head lights would bolt right into the es250 doubles

Lets try to remember what the purpose of the thread is. We already know that model and part # from different vehicles dont "match" so attempting to show incompatibility based on model or part # is irrelevant, after all the afore mentioned interchangaable items that you did NOT attempt to refute most likely have different model or part#

fuel injectors:
again, only in specific cases, incl. the 7mge "green" and "yellow" injectors, and iirc some old RX7 injectors too, will work on EARLY 1uz engines.

rods:
no. the 2uz and 3uz have the SAME RODS, which are a fair bit thinner, and lighter, and documented to break at ~7-9psi depending on conditions. (this is thought of as one of the reasons TRD discontinued the Supercharger for the 4.7 and kept it for the other engines)
early model (pre-head change in 95(LS)/96(sc)) 1UZ engines have considerably beefier rods and have seen up to 12psi+ without damage.

It is a question of incorrect information being left on the board for future members to take as correct, causing problems.
