Needs a brake bulb changed. The jerking can be many things dealing with the suspension to warped rotors/pads.

There are a variety of weird issues stemming from some wiring by the trunk hinge that gets damaged. Take a look at this thread:

Check the trunk hinge wiring harness. Sounds like you may have a break in one of the wires. Jerking can be caused from a number of things, as mentioned. Suspect that you may have worn bushings given the age of the car and the commonality of this.

+1 on the bushings, miles on the car dont seem to matter as much as the age of the car for bushings. Rubber degrades over the years when exposed to the elements, even if you have a very low miles LS im sure alot of the bushings still would need to be replaced...I just wish someone had told me "you pretty much have to change ALL your bushings in this car" before buying it, its also not worth the money unless you change them yourself.

Google "arnotts suspension", they have an amazing deal on UCA's for the ls400...both for $200!! jump on it while it last's. Im running these and they are sure better than paying $600 each at the dealership for the same product...yup, you heard right....

Correct. The rubber boots were being torn VERY PREMATURELY and the taper on the upper ball joint was different and would not get tight as specified need to be.
