side shot of the combo. Okay, that's it for now. I'll put of pics of the beam pattern later. Lemme know if anyone needs specific shots from different distances, angles, etc.
what kind of fog lights are those u are using? they look great.. and how do you rewire the fog light.. i have hid on my ls400 and my fog lights dont work? is there a thread?
p.s and also what kinda side bulbs are u usinG? they look great also....
As for rewiring fogs, I took it to a stereo shop to have it done. But basically, they installed a relay...spliced the power wire from both fogs and ran the relay straight to the battery and a switch they put inside the car. So now, the fogs are controlled by a switch totally independent of anything else except the car being on. I didn't even need to have my parking lights on for the fogs. So they could actually serve as day time running lights.
Yeps, I'm very happy with them. OVERALL, they are better than before. I lost a little bit of raw light output, but the color and look, combined with a better beam pattern is worth the tradeoff IMO. The lighting pattern is pretty even on both sides, unlike the Philips which were lopsided where the right side seemed to be bigger and longer than the left. Also, the McCullochs pattern is evenly distributed, not as blotchy as the Philips. Thumbs up from me!
8000k is blueish/purple, more blue than purple though. Local shops in my area install HID's for $50, I've gone through 4 sets of HID's in the past few years and they get more complicated as the years go by, like more wiring and more plug here and there, I rather just pay a guy $50 and get a bite to eat while he installs them.
BHC--how do you run H4 in a 1st-gen? Can this be done on a 1990 LS4?
the 93-94 uses H4 bulbs. But if you get the JDM one-peice headlight's, their also H4 bulbs. You can get those HID's for your specific bulb type also.
ie. 9003 9006. Good luck. bye the way HID's in our car's = Glare. Blinding everyone in front! I shoot my lights down.

Thanks for the honest input. Glare is not an option for me...guess I'll have to stick with the Silverstar Ultras for now.
