Default water leaking

so i have some water dripping in through the front passenger door(6 inches from the rear of the door edge).
my question is how do i tell which seal is bad? there is a rubber strip that goes around the door or the one on the body of the car. any ideas?

If the water drips in, both seals are not making contact.

Usually its just the upper portion of the door itself that's bent outwards, maybe someone tried to pry it open to reach the lock switch.

It can be checked by rolling the window down, place a long piece of paper between the door and the body and trying to slide it back and forth.

If the door is bent, you can just bend it back in. I don't think its worth replacing the seal even if that's the problem. If it is, you can maybe put some thick rupper foam tape where the seal is supposed to make contact.

To fix the bent door, Put something soft between the door and body, where the lock is (I use my knee) and bend the upper window sill in. Roll the window down first.

To isolate the area of entry and leakage path, take a garden hose and selectively target several sections of the door, one at a time, checking for leakage each time. You might be surprised at where the water is entering and how unpredictably it can run. The directed water will help in isolating the offending seal.
