Default timing question

1993 lexus ls400
my question is about the timing
if the three marks on the timing belt all align and number one cylinder is at tdc
would it matter if any of the two camshaft gears had been moved during the installation of the timing belt

i know ebay has some ,but i want one like haynes
and the actual service manual 2 volume book cost 200 (has anybody bought one does it go into great detail)
something detailed enough that will help me rebuild the engine if i wanted to

Haynes doesn't have one. Before I did my timing belt I bought my service manual off ebay last year for $165 used. (perfect condition) If you plan on rebuilding the engine you should get one, it is WELL worth it. It goes into EXTREME detail, everything you need to know. Also, this site http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/ is awesome and helps out alot.

Both cam gears and the crank gear must be in the correct position when fitting the belt, any movement of the cam gear during belt replacement will result in a timing error on the bank where the gear has moved.
Fortunately the engine is non interference so although no physical damage would occur with piston to valve contact the engine would not run correctly and a fault code may be logged as the cam sensor would detect misalignment.
