nails in my gas tank
hi, earlier i noticed underneath my car that my gas tank has rusted nails in them, about 3, the nails are WOOD SCREWS are poked in from the flat point rather than using the sharp point to poke into the gas tank, exposing the sharp point outwards. so im wondering does anyone have any idea why i have nails thrus my gas tank? i dont think its leaking or anything, there are other nails but those look like it came from toyota, its a normal nail with a washer.

Your gas tank is up to between your rear seats and the trunk...not down there where it is on your average car. That's just the metal pan that holds your spare tire. No big deal.

There's too many idiots out there. Did the previous owner screw something down in the tire well like a bracket for something? Could be someone drilled holes to let water out if the trunk leaks. I had to do that a couple times with other cars.
Just noticed, do you do alot of off roading with that? There's a few bolts that are just snapped off. With all those scapes I'm suprised you still have exhaust on it.

Looks like drywall screws, equally bad... For them to still be there, they are likely holding something down. I suspect it is holding down a mounting surface for a stereo system amp or air system component.
I suspect a stereo installer since some will build up an enclosure with such screws. Lets see a pic of the tire well.
