Fuel filter
I have a 92.I just changed the fuel filter. It is on the left side of the car.You have to remove a alum.panel toget to it.After what I went through,if you do not have a lift.forgrt about it.I had gas everywhere,in spite of trying to catch it in a pan.my back is burned from the gas.Put it on a lift to change it.
Rybikowsky, did you bleed the fuel lines when you changed it? If you go in the trunk and disconnect the electrical connection for the fuel pump then run the engine till it stops, I don't think it leaks much fuel. I'm doing this as soon as my filter gets here from carson toyota. If anyone has tried this method and had problems please let me know.
I unplugged the fuel pump from the trunk, but I didn't know where the fuel relay was in the engine compartment.. so I just went ahead and turned on the engine and it shut off immediately.
The pipes leaked maybe about 1/2 to 3/4 gallon for me. It was definitely a pain to do, and I would consider getting it done by somebody else the next time it needs to be done!
