Default ls400 problem.

Recently for some odd reason my ls400 would just shut off while driving, it would die in the middle of the road. I went to go get it check and the people told me that i had a bad battery, and a bad alternator which is leaking on the something causing the battery to die faster. I then got both of the problems listed fixed, replaced the battery with a new one and got my leaky alternator fixed. But now just yesterday it died again in the middle of the street. No clue why.. What could be the problem?

Correct me if i am wrong alternator does not leak, most of the time is power steering fluid above the alternator that leak which cause the alternator to die, and it may take battery with it too. Also check the battery fuse, make sure is not blown.

Actual is the seal on the power steering pump that leak and the fluid will go direct to the alternator and kill it.

1995 ls400 126,349 miles, no mods. completely stock.

And i kinda messed up my wording, but that is what i ment, By the "leak" something was leaking onto the alternator. i got it checked out and the told me they "fixed" it, and i got my battery and everything check the first time it died on the street. The car ran normal for a couple weeks after that, but now the problem persists. I'm still unsure of what wrong with it, because today i started it up and after about 5mins it started dieing out and then completely shut off and wouldn't start back up. I had to get the my sc300 and jumper cables to have the ls start back up.

Sounds like the alternator may be bad. From your original post, I'm assuming they gave you a new battery and repaired or replaced the power steering pump. Either the leak still exists, or your alternator may be fried from the previous leak. The alternator output needs to be tested...

I agree with JimsGX the alternator is the most likely culprit. I would check to see if they actually fixed the p/s problem or if there is still a leak. If they just replaced the battery and the alternator, it makes sense that the pump is still leaking on the new alternator from the symptoms your having. The battery doesn't have enough juice to keep the car running any longer.
